Rose and her musician grandson Darragh McCabe at the BMB Active Christmas dinner in Multyfarnham Community Centre on Sunday.On Sunday December 1 the Multyfarnham Community Centre was a hive of activity, Christmas music and decorations as 100 members and friends sat down to Christmas dinner.
Congratulations to the winners of the annual Christmas Bumper Raffle, including Brenda O’Malley, Ann O’Brien, Ann Marie O’Dowd, Kathleen Meely, Mary Ludock, Patricia Leogue, Caitriona Devine, Eileen Morton, Geraldine Connaughton, Mary McCormack, Aisling Cooney, Sinéad Connell, Patricia Lynch, Rose McCabe, Geraldine Rabbitte, Marie Delamere, Patrick Mooney, Eighan Family, Brigid Tighe, Tina Masterson, Deirdre Leavey, Patricia Kenny, Fiona Bardon, Bernadette Flanagan, and Cathleen Smith.
Chairman Joe Scally paid tribute to the hard working committee, volunteers, and Smyth Catering for making the Christmas dinner such an enjoyable experience.
Multyfarnham lights
On Saturday December 7 at 6pm, the Christmas lights will shine bright thanks to Multyfarnham Tidy Towns. Christmas carols will be led by the choral group from Multyfarnham Men’s Shed.
Singers from St Cremin’s NS, Wilson’s and BMB Active singers will hopefully join in. The Men’s Shed crafted a Nativity stable for the park opposite St Nicholas Church. Clive Ledwith will be there with refreshments so please come along, 6-7pm Saturday.
Christmas Fair
Multyfarnham Community Centre Christmas Fair on Sunday December 8. Stop by the BMB Active stall.
National Pickleball
Congratulations to the Colin Sheridan Academy and BMB Active for hosting another National Pickleball Tournament in Multyfarnham Community Centre last Saturday. Teams from Sligo, Dublin and elsewhere competed. Well done to medal winners and all participants plus spectators.
Wreath making
Another BMB Active tradition on Wednesday December 11 at 10am is a class in Christmas wreath making. All materials will be on hand but you may want to bring along scissors. You will be assisted in crafting beautiful decorative wreath for your front door or elsewhere. To book your place in this class please text ‘wreath’ to 0871724256.
