Delvin Friendship Club Christmas party
The Delvin Friendship Club Christmas party on Sunday week last, December 15, in the Village Barn in Tyrrellspass provided a lovely seasonal lift in spirits for all who attended.
The members were treated in a beautiful festive atmosphere to a delicious Christmas dinner, and a fun visit by Santa and Mrs Claus, who brought them gifts and handmade, personalised Christmas cards from the pupils of St Tola’s National School, Delvin.
They were also entertained with music from Andrew McAuley.
Tricia McGrath, the chair of the club, expressed gratitude to the sponsors who supported the Christmas meal, including Home Instead for a €1,000 donation; Alan and Maura Fallon (Delvin Property Services), €250, and Paul and Sarah of Daybreak Delvin for sponsoring the wine. She also thanked other sponsors who have been supporting the club throughout the year, such as John Coll Butchers, Mary Gaffney, and David Smyth Catering, who provide the cooking of the meat at the club’s monthly meetings.
