Mullingar Camera Club launch 2025 exhibition on Monday

The launch of Mullingar Camera Club’s annual exhibition for is in The Atrium, County Buildings, Mullingar on Monday, January 6, from 6pm. The exhibition will be open to the public until January 17.

A club spokesperson said: “We are grateful for the wonderful opportunity to showcase the collective talent of our members, and we thank Westmeath County Council for their generous support.”

This year, members have submitted their favorite images for the exhibition, and there are contributions from new members who joined this year.

While sharing photographs for public viewing can be intimidating, it offers invaluable benefits. Exhibiting fosters greater awareness of each photographer’s unique style and strengths, while providing opportunities for constructive discussion and increased confidence for future exhibitions.

The exhibition features a diverse array of subjects that reflect the personal interests of the photographers.

Each image represents the culmination of a thoughtful journey, from the initial concept and planning, to capturing the moment, making post-production adjustments, and finally printing and mounting the work.

“We hope that viewers find as much enjoyment in these images as we do in creating them. We also hope they inspire you to embark on your own photographic adventures.”

If you are inspired by the exhibition and would like to improve your photography skills, connect with fellow enthusiasts, and make new friends, Mullingar Camera Club meet twice monthly on Wednesdays at Áras an Mhuilinn, 7.30-9pm. For information, email secretarycameraclub@hotmail.com.
