Woman of Clay/Bean ón Gcré launch in Mo

Christine Moran will release her first poetry collection, Woman of Clay/Bean ón Gcré, with a special event on Friday 17 January (7-8.30pm) at Tuar Ard Arts Centre in Moate.

The event promises an evening of literary exploration, where guests will have the opportunity to experience Christine’s work first-hand in a venue that resonates with her poetic themes of identity, resilience, and self-discovery.

Woman of Clay/Bean ón Gcré is a poignant exploration of the female experience, woven through with themes of transformation, strength, and connection to the earth. Each poem in the collection reflects Christine’s ability to blend raw emotion with intricate language, offering readers a profound journey into the human condition.

Christine is known for her evocative style, and her work resonates deeply with readers and listeners, capturing universal truths and personal moments of vulnerability. The poems are complemented with illustrations from artist, Thomasina Earley.

Christine, a native of Westmeath, received praise for her previous book ‘Dear Precious Being’ for its depth and accessibility. Her new collection builds on her reputation for evocative storytelling with poems that are both introspective and outwardly powerful. Woman of Clay/Bean ón Gcré stands as a testament to her belief in the strength found in vulnerability and the power of words to heal and transform.

The launch event will include readings by Christine, providing attendees a unique opportunity to hear the poems in her own voice.
