Leinster semi-final involving Moate CS set for Tuesday

Moate Community School's Leinster Schools SF 'A' semi-final against Ardscoil na Trionóide, Athy has been confirmed for next Tuesday, January 21.

The venue is the Coralstown/Kinnegad GAA grounds in Kinnegad, with a throw-in time of 12.00.

If Moate CS are able to overcome their highly rated Athy opponents, it will set up an all-Westmeath Leinster final. Coláiste Mhuire of Mullingar defeated Maynooth Education Campus in the other semi-final on Tuesday last - see report here

Moate CS overcame local rivals Marist College, Athlone by 0-10 to 0-7 in their quarter-final at Páirc Chiaráin before Christmas, while Ardscoil na Trionóide dethroned last year's champions Naas CBS in their last outing.

The Moate CS team is coached by Bunbrosna's Peter Tormey and Niall Daly of Pádraig Pearses.
