Local Link announces Westmeath bus service disruption due to storm

The TFI Local Link service for Longford, Westmeath and Roscommon has announced a series of bus cancellations or delays due to Storm Éowyn tomorrow (Friday).

The local bus service provider said all of its door-to-door services on Friday would be cancelled due to the red-level storm.

With the red warning for the Midlands counties due to be lifted at 11am tomorrow, it said all of its high frequency RRS routes "may run after the warning has expired, but will be subject to travelling conditions in each area."

In addition, TFI Local Link in Laois Offaly announced several cancellations or timetable changes on Friday in relation to its buses serving Moate or Athlone.

It said college services which it operates have been cancelled, including: 11159 Tullamore – Moate; 1925 Pollagh – Moate; 7100 Belmont – Moate; 907 Roscrea – Moate; 9990 Ferbane – Moate; and 10062 Stradbally to TUS Athlone.

The Laois Offaly local link service said that, at the time of writing, the following high-frequency services to Athlone were planned to operate from Friday afternoon, depending on weather and conditions along the route:

815 Tullamore – Athlone - first service at 13:00 from Tullamore

850 Athlone – Roscrea – first service at 15:00 from Athlone and 15:48 from Roscrea.
