TV: Keating, Duffy, Lynch and Graham talk about Boyzone
Boyzone No Matter What, (Sky Documentaries, Sunday 9th , 9pm)
For the first time in 30 years, Boyzone band members Ronan Keating, Keith Duffy, Shane Lynch and Michael Graham grant rare and exclusive interview access about their time in one of the biggest boybands in history. Across three episodes, the band help close a chapter in their lives, as they confront the strained relationships and tragic events that have had a lasting impact on all their lives and friendships.

A prickling comedy drama that pulls few punches, Hacks deftly balances its sharp critiques of the comedy world with more intimate moments, all the while giving the incomparable Jean Smart a role worthy of her talents as an over-the-hill comedienne who hires young, edgy writer Hannah Einbinder to inject some punch into her punchlines – and maybe just save her career. This is the Las Vegas the holiday tours don’t see.
The Late Late Eurosong Special (RTÉ 1, Friday 7th, 9.35pm)
To Whom It Concerns… the search is on to find the act who will represent Ireland in the 69th Eurovision Song Contest in 2025. In a night of music, tension, drama and surprises the country will come together with host Patrick Kielty to pick a winner from the scores of entrants – one of which will represent Ireland on the world’s biggest musical stage.
Gíorraíonn Beirt Bóthar (BBC 2, Monday 10th, 10pm)
A new series explores the mythical and cultural heritage of our eastern landscapes as presenters Tessa Fleming and Cormac Ó hÁdhmaill climb Slieve Gullion, marvel at ancient monuments, and learn the art of foraging from mountain guide, Brian Hoey. Delving into the legacy of the ancient Ulster kingdom with Pádraig Ó Tiarnaigh, their trip is capped off with a spirited game of handball near Cullyhanna.
Mussolini: Son Of The Century (Sky Atlantic, Tuesday 11th, 9pm)
This eight-part series chronicles the birth of fascism in Italy and the rise to power of ‘Il Duce’ Benito Mussolini, starting with the founding of Fasci Italiani in 1919, bolstered with an insight into his personal relationships, including with wife Rachele and his lover Margherita Sarfatti.

Tolkien (CH4, Wednesday 5th, 1.30am)
As a young student, JRR Tolkien finds love and artistic inspiration among fellow outcasts – bonds that strengthened as he weathered the storm of a courtship with Edith Bratt and the outbreak of World War I. Those experiences would go on to inspire the classic fantasy novels The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings. Nicholas Hoult stars in a script penned by Limerick screenwriter David Gleeson.

Made by the same team as the Jason Bourne franchise, this centres around a fledgling CIA lawyer who gets caught up in a dangerous game of international politics when a former asset threatens to expose the nature of her relationship with the agency unless they clear her name.
The Fall Of Diddy (Discovery+)
Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs gloried as a 1990s music and fashion mogul known for glitzy parties and entourages, until his arrest on sex trafficking and racketeering charges in September 2024. Survivors offer up a series of allegations of assault, abuse and violence at the hands of the billionaire, who currently is behind bars in New York awaiting trial.
Vietnam: The War That Changed America (Apple TV)
Narrated by actor Ethan Hawke, this is a raw and intimate look at the impact of the Vietnam War on America through personal stories and memories of those who fought in one of the modern world’s longest wars. The series examines far-reaching consequences and lasting influence on society as the 50th anniversary of the fall of Saigon approaches. If you liked Ken Burns’ epic 10-part series of some years ago, this will definitely hold your attention.
