Team spirit celebrated at Apache Pizza 20th birthday

Apache Pizza Mullingar have been celebrating 20 years in business over the last week or so, and held an event for customers, friends and family on Saturday afternoon.

Eoghan Murray is the current manager of the business, established by his father Niall in 2005, “not entirely sure how popular it would be”, as Eoghan put it.

That sentiment is understandable, as anyone in business will know, but Niall’s instincts were accurate, and “from day one, the store was full and it’s been that way for the 20 years!”.

“In a team that had only six of us to start, it has grown to more 40 today, and has been a job for many of our team through college or as they navigated their careers from one phase to the next,” Eoghan said.

“We have had a ball in Mullingar over the years. From being Store of the Year to Busiest Store in the country to collecting numerous awards from Mullingar Chamber to Apache Franchisee, we have really done it, and ticked as many boxes as possible with our team.

“From events such as the Fleadh Cheoil to our daily trips to Lilliput Adventure Centre in the summers to being the host of many children’s Make and Bake parties, no matter what the occasion, we’ve been there for it.

“On behalf of myself, Lisa, Niall and Clare, we cannot thank the people of Mullingar enough for their support over the last 20 years. Without you, we wouldn’t be here today.”

Eoghan concluded by saying that his fiancée Lisa has been a huge support to him in running Apache Mullingar as Clare was to Niall in his time at the helm.
