'Poets of Grace' success encourages repeat event

‘The Poets of Grace’ event last Friday morning went so well that the organisers are considering repeating it.

Don Mortell, PRO for the Mullingar Literary Festival, and project coordinator, said ‘The Poets of Grace’ was an idea he had to promote the festival (which is on July 4-6) and “to show what a breadth of talent we are blessed with, not just here in town, but right across the county”.

The event on Friday morning was at Grace cafe on Castle Street, which Don described as “the perfect backdrop to our film”.

“We were made to feel so welcome, so much so that I’m planning a ‘Poets of Grace 2’ in the next few months,

“I was delighted with the turnout of creatives and it proved, if proof were needed, that Mullingar is about so much more than music.

“I can’t wait for Mullingar Literary Festival to get into full swing. We promise something for everyone, a raft of talented people and perhaps one or two surprises along the way.”

Mullingar Literary Festival runs from Friday July 4 to Sunday July 6. The Poets of Grace film is available to view on Facebook and will shortly be on YouTube.
