Smokie return to Mullingar Park Hotel for February show

One of the best travelled bands are returning for a one night only – and much requested – date in Mullingar Park Hotel on Friday 21 February. It’s their only appearance in this part of the country, so fans won’t want to miss it.

As a special dedication to fans who have come to see the band down through the years, they have just released ‘Smokie, The Irish Collection, a set of their greatest hits dedicated to Ireland only.

It features songs like ‘Something’s Been Making Me Blue’; ‘1’Ll Meet You At Midnight’; ‘Don’t Play Your Rock ‘N’ Roll To Me’; ‘If You Think You Know How To Love Me’; ‘Livin’ Next Door To Alice’; ‘Wild Angels’; ‘Oh Carol’; ‘Needles And Pins’; ‘Have You Ever Seen The Rain’; ‘Mexican Girl’; ‘For A Few Dollars More’; ‘Rose A Lee’.

All of those were top 10 hits around the world, went on to become radio staples and gave Smokie their ticket to travel the globe for thelast 40 years.

Also included is ‘Whiskey In The Jar’, which they perform everywhere as part of their live set.

The Irish Collection show will feature every single hit record Smokie have had and will give audiences a sample of current albums that have been chart hits for them in European countries.

Last year alone, Smokie have toured Australia, South Africa, China and South Korea, taking their unique country rock sound to the hundreds of thousands of Smokie fans who still love their music after all these years.

Their Mullingar show will prove once again why Smokie deserve the name of being one of the greatest live bands in the music business today. The last time, it was a sell out… expect the same again, say the promoters.

Tickets are on sale at the hotel and here.
