Online booking at Mullingar pool to be in place this month

An online booking system at Mullingar Swimming Pool will be in place this month, allowing customers to make their reservations from the comfort of home.

The announcement was made by the newly appointed senior executive officer, district engineer, Mary Goldsberry, at the February meeting of the Municipal District of Mullingar Kinnegad.

Cllr Aoife Davitt was “delighted at the announcement”. She said, “it will make a massive difference to people, not having to queue”.

Visitor numbers to the swimming pool have increased year on year and were at 107,000 in 2024, generating an income in the region of €571,294, Ms Goldsberry reported.

She said that all funding opportunities will be explored to continue to enhance the facility.
