Carraig Mór residents want council help to remove trees
A member of Carraig Mór Residents Association in Ballynacargy has written to the Westmeath Examiner to “express dismay and frustration with Westmeath County Council”.
“We have been left with the devastation of Storm Éowyn with fallen trees all along the green area in the estate. We have asked the council over the last eight years to remove the trees, as branches and trees have constantly fallen. We are concerned for the children, young people and the vulnerable adults living in the area. We are lucky that the storm happened during the night as no one was outside at the time.” The photo was taken almost three weeks after the storm.
