Mullingar Kyokushinkai success in Scotland

Mullingar Kyokushinkai Karate Club competed in the Scottish Open Knockdown (full-contact) Karate Tournament in Glasgow last week. Dimitar Stoyanov took part in the Open L/W U70kg Category and the talented 19-year-old, who has great technique and fighting spirit, says coach Ken Fitzpatrick, finished in a credible second place.

There was a good size Irish contingent representing other clubs throughout the country.

The Mullingar club (founded 2001) train twice weekly on Tuesdays and Saturdays and new beginners are always welcome, ages six years to adult; more details at kyokushinireland.com.
