Bomb disposal experts deal with 'suspected explosive ordnance' in Mullingar

Bomb disposal experts from the Defence Forces Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team responded to a request for assistance from An Garda Síochána in relation to suspected explosive ordnance found in the Mullingar area, yesterday Wednesday 12 March.

Following an assessment by the EOD team, the items were safely removed for further examination, and the scene was handed over to An Garda Síochána.

This operation has now concluded.
