The Westmeath U16 squad before their victory over Roscommon at the weekend.

Westmeath Camogie Roundup

Westmeath headed to Fenagh, County Carlow to face Laois in the refixed Leinster Minor B Shield Final last Sunday afternoon. They faced a strong Laois side who had too much for them in the end.

EIR U16 All-Ireland Championship

Westmeath defeated Roscommon in the opening round of the EIR U16 Championship in Raharney last Sunday. Goals from Jennifer O’Neill, Niamh Briody, and Sionainn McCormack helped get them the win.

Very National Camogie League Division 1B Round 4

Westmeath and Wexford meet in TEG Cusack Park on Saturday at 2pm. Results may not have gone the way of Padraic Connaughton’s side this season but playing in division 1B minus so many of the 2024 winning side is challenging. A frustrating loss in Antrim in round three means the Lake County will be looking to put in a solid showing against the Model County.

Electric Ireland Minor ‘B’ Championship Round 3

The Minor side also welcome Down this weekend as the two come face-to-face on Sunday (venue TBC) at 2pm. Following a first defeat of the year against Laois last weekend, focus now returns to the All-Ireland series where dramatic draws against Meath and Kerry (both away) have left Jimbob Baker’s side in a good position so far.

Presentation Night

Congratulations to all our nominees and winners at the Westmeath Camogie Presentation Night last week in the Village Barn. It was a superb night
