There were more than 100 entries and more than 20 breeders at the 2025 Alpaca National Show in Mullingar Equestrian Centre on Sunday.
The official Alpaca Association of Ireland, founded in 2003, helps to grow the alpaca industry in the country, and the organisers of Sunday’s event are delighted that it went well and attracted a strong turnout, including of visitors.
The association aim to bring together alpaca owners, alpaca breeders, alpaca lovers and veterinary specialists to create a strong national alpaca industry, and that certainly seems to be working well, as the national show has grown each year since it began, to the extent that they are considering expanding from the area at the equestrian centre, possibly into additional marquees, for future shows.
