Dún na Sí Heritage Park reopens on Sunday

Dún na Sí Heritage Park has reopened for the 2025 season, just in time to celebrate Mother’s Day on Sunday, March 30.

In honour of Mother’s Day, all mums will enjoy complimentary entry to the Heritage Park. Additional special treats include: free Sauna and Ice Baths session and a free ticket for the Hamper Raffle courtesy of Conor's Café. These exclusive offerings are designed to provide a day of relaxation, enjoyment, and celebration in a setting that beautifully marries natural beauty with cultural heritage.

The reopening marks the beginning of a vibrant season packed with a variety of attractions. Visitors can look forward to diverse line-up of events and markets, engage in hands-on activities during workshops, step back in time with Heritage Park experiences, or explore the therapeutic and invigorating Serenity Sauna and Ice Baths. With ample on-site facilities including parking, a welcoming café, playgrounds, a sensory garden, walking trails, and a Turlough, Dún na Sí is designed for a memorable family day out.

Westmeath County Council is currently finalising improvements to the link between the park and the Old Rail Trail.

“We’re so excited to be reopening just in time for Mother’s Day,” said Barry Loughnane, park's General Manager. “Our park is not only a place to connect with nature and heritage but also a destination for joy, relaxation, and community celebration. We look forward to welcoming families, friends, and especially all the amazing mums to experience the magic of Dún na Sí.”
