€20,000 for Streamstown Trailhead Café

A €20,000 investment has been confirmed for the Streamstown Trailhead Café, located along the greenway, to allow for a kitchen extension, enhancing the offering and improving visitor facilities.

Last week’s meeting of the Economic, Enterprise, Agriculture, and Tourism SPC heard that, since 2017, Westmeath County Council has invested in excess of €500,000 in the development of the trailhead and the cafe at Streamstown Station on the Old Rail Train.

The approved €20,000 will be used to extend the kitchen and allow for more space within the building.
