Council seeking views on town bus service route through Lakepoint and Gleann Petit

A survey seeking opinions on the proposed Mullingar bus service route through Lakepoint and Gleann Petit is now open.

In a statement this morning, the council said:

The Municipal District of Mullingar Kinnegad and the National Transport Authority (NTA) are finalising the Mullingar Bus Service to support the sustainable and compact growth of the town, enable its development potential and provide a public transport option for residents and visitors.

Further to the non-statutory public consultation on the Mullingar Bus Service held in 2021, they are seeking the views of key stakeholders on the proposed route through Lakepoint and Gleann Petit to finalise the last part of the process.

This is needed due to the rise in population at that location and refinement of the bus route since the last non-statutory consultation exercise.

A survey has been prepared to obtain the views of the key stakeholders concerning the proposed bus route which is available by clicking on this link Mullingar Bus Survey.

The survey and accompanying map are also available at the Customer Service desk, Westmeath County Council, County Buildings, Mullingar, County Westmeath.

The closing date for completed surveys is 4pm Friday April 25, 2025.

Please note that only one response per household will be accepted.
