Heaton charms The Chambers

Paul Heaton won the crowd at The Chambers on Friday of last week straight away when he and the band came on stage to the sound of Good Looking Woman by Joe Dolan.

That set the mood for what was a brilliant night. He played all the hits, and the crowd loved it. His voice is as good as ever. Rianne Downey, who he was co-singing with, was unbelievable as well. The backing band were fantastic.

Heaton played a few new tunes, and all the ones that everyone loved. You can tell how popular the tunes are by the number of people who took out their phones to record when they were on.

Heaton is a singer-songwriter who was in The Beautiful South and The Housemartins. He is playing a series of intimate Irish shows this month, as he continues his mission to play all of the 32 counties of Ireland during his career.

His new album ‘The Mighty Several’ is produced by Ian Broudie and features guest singers.
