Meath have set up a Leinster Senior Football Championship last-eight clash with Offaly next Sunday.

A goal from Ruairi Kinsella helped the Royals to a 1-30 to 19-points win against Carlow.

Meanwhile, it ended level after normal time between Longford and Wicklow at Pearse Park.

Hurling

Cork lead Tipperary in the Division One A Hurling League final.

Cork are aiming to win the League for the first-time since 1998.

Despite a late and impressive rally from Offaly, Waterford held on for deserving win in the Division 1B hurling final.

The Irish Times reported that Waterford were certainly superior throughout the first half, but that Offaly will take some comfort from their spirited comeback.

The scoreline there was Waterford 1-27 (30) Offaly 2-20 (26).
