On the town square, visitors will be treated to re-enactments, battle displays, and medieval combat courtesy of Bart Gozdur and his Viking re-enactment troupe as well as the ‘Medieval Armoured Combat Ireland’ group.

Art enthusiasts will be treated to displays by local artists, as well as poetry readings.

The festival will also feature a variety of engaging activities, including a historical showcase by North Westmeath Heritage and Conservation, interactive display boards and, to wrap the day up, a karaoke session in the hotel from 10pm to midnight.
