The Leinster Hurling Championship has gotten underway this afternoon.
Wexford have opened their campaign with a 2-24 to 0-19 point win over Antrim.
Kevin Foley and Cian Byrne scored the goals for Keith Rossiter's side who also played the majority of the game with 14 men.
There's an early meeting of hurling heavyweights, as Kilkenny have welcomed Galway to Nowlan Park.
That game is into the early stages and it's Kilkenny 0-00 Galway 0-00.
Dublin get their campaign up and running at 6, hosting Offaly at Parnell Park.
Football
The Munster football championship has reached the semi-final stage today.
Clare are the first team into the decider as they beat Tipperary by 2-18 to 1-15 in Ennis this afternoon.
Old rivals Kerry and Cork will battle it out to join the Banner in the final.
They meet at Supervalu Páirc Uí Chaoimh from 7pm.
Mayo's bid to reach the Connacht final brings them to Carrick-on-Shannon where they're meeting Leitrim.
That game is just underway.
Also underway is the Ulster football quarter-final between Fermanagh and Down.
Women's football
The Dublin ladies have gotten the better of foes Meath in Round 1 of the Leinster football championship.
A goal in either half helped the Girls in Blue to a 2-10 to 1-6 victory at Páirc Tailteann.
Soccer
League of Ireland
Waterford have confirmed that men's first-team manager Keith Long has left the club with immediate effect.
Last night's 4-0 defeat at home to Sligo Rovers leaves the Blues on a six-game losing run and eighth in the SSE Airtricity Men's Premier Division.
Long joined the club in 2023, and guided them to promotion from the First Division in his first season.
In a statement, Waterford thanked Long for his efforts, but said "the recent run of results meant it was necessary for a change."
Premier League
The Premier League has returned this afternoon with four games heading for the second half.
It's level pegging at the G Tech where Brighton scored late in equalise against Brentford to leave it 1-1 at the break.
It's scoreless at Goodison Park where Everton are keeping Manchester City at bay.
West Ham are level 0-0 with Southampton while it's also scoreless between Crystal Palace and Bournemouth.
The battle for the European places continues in the evening game – Aston Villa welcome Newcastle to Villa Park from 5.30pm.
Rugby
Leinster and Ulster contest a URC interpro derby at the Aviva Stadium this evening.
Luke McGrath will captain the hosts, while head Leo Cullen call upon the likes of Andrew Porter, Dan Sheehan and RG Snyman from the bench.
Cormac Izuchukwu returns from injury to start alongside skipper Alan O'Connor in the second row.
Kick-off is at 7.35pm.
First up this afternoon, Connacht could move into the top eight with a win over the Stormers.
However it's the hosts who lead 26-24 in Cape Town despite a double of tries from Shane Jennings.
At 5.15pm, Munster will hope to tame the Bulls at Thomond Park.
