Launch of new literary festival for Mullingar

The Mullingar Literary Festival Committee and their support team have announced the launch of the inaugural Mullingar Literary Festival for Culture Night, September 20, at Caffrey’s Bar (8pm).

The launch will feature an interview with celebrated Irish author and Mullingar native, Anne Griffin. Known for her deeply moving and critically acclaimed works, Anne has captured the hearts of readers in Ireland and internationally.

The event, titled ‘In Conversation with Anne Griffin’, will be hosted by DJ and artist Don Mortell. Attendees can look forward to an engaging and insightful discussion, offering a rare glimpse into the creative mind of one of Ireland’s literary treasures.

The Mullingar Literary Festival promises to be a highlight on the cultural calendar, bringing together book lovers, authors, and the local community to celebrate the power of literature.
