Mullingar RFC starts with season with derby win

Mullingar RFC kicked off the season with a traditional local derby against Wilson’s Hospital School Past Players, securing a 21-7 victory in a hard-fought match. This historic fixture, always played at the start of the season, did not disappoint!

Try scorers for Mullingar included Artur Lazor, Niall Derham, and Eoin Conlon, sealing the win in what was a great display of teamwork and determination.

This win marks a fantastic start to Mullingar’s 100th-anniversary season, with much more rugby action to come!

U14 Boys impress in Roscrea

Mullingar RFC's U14 boys started their season with a thrilling 48-31 win away to Roscrea. The team put in a strong performance, showing great promise for the season ahead.

A special mention goes to Adam and Ben, who made their debuts for the team and delivered standout performances. The game also saw the return of Liam after a few years, and he played as if he'd never been away, making a big impact.Next Saturday, the U14s will face a tough challenge at home against Longford, in what will be a repeat of the 2023 Midlands Final, which Mullingar won by just 3 points. It’s set to be a gripping contest as the boys look to continue their winning form.
