TUS Athlone student takes bronze at Digital Student of the Year

An international student at Technological University of the Shannon (TUS) Athlone has taken home bronze at the Digital Student of the Year awards.

Yingxin Li, who is participating in the MSc in Digital Marketing, was presented with the award at a ceremony at the Clayton hotel in Dublin on September 6.

Yingxin's project was with Midlandjobs.ie, and showcased innovative digital marketing strategies for the company. A tweet by TUS Athlone Campus said her project “brought real value to the company”.

The other winners were also from the TUS family, with Clodagh Henderson and Shruti Nadagouda from TUS Moylish campus in Limerick taking gold and silver.

MSc in Digital Marketing and Analytics Programme Leader Rachel Walsh commented: “We are proud to have developed an award-winning Master’s programme that delivers such high calibre graduates into a very competitive job market.

“We had a record seven nominations this year and that is a testament to the lecturing team who deliver the programme.”

The Digital Student of the Year award recognises students who excel in understanding and applying digital media in business.

It is open to students from all educational levels across Ireland and is judged by a panel of industry experts.
