The community of Collinstown honoured the memory of a popular local figure last week with a 5k walk/run and a tractor run. The event, dedicated to Eamonn Dowling, was organised by his friends and the local community, and supported by his two sons Luke and Jack Dowling.
"Eamonn was a well-liked character in the community, known to many," said one local resident.
The event featured a looped route and as the tractors passed by, locals stood out to cheer them on. Despite a busy weekend in the area, the event ran smoothly, and attendees were given plentiful time to navigate the course and support the fundraiser.
