Delvin to seek town renewal scheme

The Community Section of Mullingar Kinnegad Municipal District is to work with Delvin Amenity Development Group and Delvin Tidy Towns this year to develop a town and village renewal application to enhance Delvin.

That comes following a motion put forward by Cllr David Jones at the Mullingar Kinnegad Municipal District October meeting.

A response from the Community Section stated that eight expressions of interest have been received from Delvin Amenity Group for the Rural Support Scheme 2024, which includes the Town and Village Scheme.

“This year’s Town and Village Scheme has not yet been launched and they are waiting to hear what the criteria is for 2024,” the council response stated.

“The community section would be happy to work with the Delvin Amenity Group to develop a suitable application once the criteria has been announced.”
