Santa looking for more little helpers for his Express
Santa Express, a unique santa experience, run completely by volunteers is returning to Mullingar Train Station this December.
The event offers a seasonal journey from Mullingar to Longford and back on a real train, and a Santa experience with a difference, as passengers know they are enjoying a festive family day out, and also supporting a local Scout group raise funds.
Tickets are still available and this is the timetable: December 14, 1.15pm and 3.15pm; December 15, 1.15pm and 3.15pm.
This event coincides with the WinterFest in Mullingar, which includes the ice skating rink this year, and there is free parking in the main county council car parks.
As the Santa Express is run by volunteers, help is always welcome and the organisers have a volunteer drive on at the moment. If you’ve ever see yourself as an elf, now’s your chance to make that a reality, and have some fun for a good cause.
You don’t have to be an elf: there are plenty of options for everyone.
