Westmeath Schools claim narrow victory over Dublin

Westmeath Schools 2-22, Dublin Senior Colleges (North) 3-18

It was a momentous night in Coralstown-Kinnegad GAA on Thursday evening as Westmeath Schools gathered for the first time as a unit in competition and came away with a fantastic and fully-merited one-point win over Dublin Senior Colleges (North) in the Leinster PPS quarter-final.

Kian Loughlin finished with 1-8 while Conor Heffernan’s 1-5 from play was quite outstanding on the night. Aided by some superb defensive work, the side managed by Joey Boyle, Gary Greville, and co had enough to get the win over their opponents from the capital.
