Brosna Art Group exhibition at Greville Arms Hotel this week

The Brosna Art Group exhibition in the Greville Arms Hotel, Mullingar opens on Thursday, November 21; viewing is from 11am and the official opening and wine reception is at 7.30pm.

It continues on Friday from 11am till 9pm and on Saturday from 11am until closing at 5pm. The raffle this year is in aid of Night Nurses for Cancer.

They had a successful exhibition last year and hope to do even better this year. "The success of the exhibition is due to the support of our local community, who take time to call in to view the exhibits, have a chat and maybe go home with a lovely painting.

"We would like to thank North Midlands Credit Union, Mullingar for their ongoing support each year, Westmeath County Council through their local enchantment grant and support grants, Picturesque Framing, and John McCauley, photographer.

Group members have been happily painting since the last exhibition. They paint in various mediums, watercolour, acrylic, oils and mix mediums.

The art group is also a social outlet, and excellent for mental health and wellness and is always open to new members.
