Consultation on proposed development of Belvedere House

A public consultation has been launched for the proposed development of Belvedere House, a protected structure, councillors learned at the November meeting of the Municipal District of Mullingar Kinnegad.

Council official Mary Goldsberry told the meeting that the primary goal of the project is to adjust the first floor level of Belvedere House. She said that on account of Belvedere’s protected status, the development had to be undertaken as a Part VIII project.

As part of the process, information on the project is available on the council’s consultation portal. Additionally, hard copies of the proposal can be inspected at the customer service desk.

The council will accept submissions and observations on the project until 4pm on January 3. Following that, a chief executive report summarising the public feedback and recommendations will be made available to council members for review and consideration.
