Suzuki Swift wins category at ICOTY
The Suzuki Swift – described as fun, nimble, and stylish – has won the ‘Irish Compact Car of the Year’ category at this year’s awards.
The Renault Scenic E-Tech Electric won the title of 2025 Irish Car of the Year, which was announced at a ceremony last Friday at the Conrad Hotel, Dublin, presented in association with Continental Tyres (see separate article, page 28).
The Suzuki Swift keeps dynamic styling at its core, with design features such as LED headlights and 16-inch alloy wheels as standard. There’s advanced equipment too, including a smartphone link for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and safety assistance features including automated emergency braking.
It comes in ‘Fervent Red’, ‘Speedy Blue’ with Black roof or, the ‘Flame Orange’ with Black roof in an opulent dual tone finish – there’s no problem finding a shade to suit your personality, say Suzuki.
It looks compact on the outside, but the Swift is spacious inside. It makes the most of what’s available, and with a relatively tall roof and upright windscreen, the passenger compartment feels roomy. Head room and leg room are decent.
The dash design is tidy and Suzuki have made sure the finish and the quality of construction impress.
The Swift boasts lower CO2 emissions and lower fuel costs. So you can be kinder to the environment and to your pocket by selecting the Swift, which is available with hybrid. Experience the power of an 83HP engine coupled with a CO2 output as low as 106g/km for a ride that doesn’t compromise on performance.
It’s perfect for city driving, and tackling the streets isn’t just about looking good, it’s about keeping safe too – that’s why the Swift comes with advanced safety features including Automated Emergency Braking, Lane Departure Warning and Prevention, traffic sign recognition and rear parking sensors.
