The Republic of Ireland's Euro 2025 dreams are over.

Eileen Gleeson's side lost 2-1 to Wales at the Aviva Stadium in their play-off final second-leg.

Anna Patten's late goal wasn't enough, as the visitors went through via a Hannah Cain penalty and a Carrie Jones goal.

Northern Ireland's slim hopes of making next summer's finals were crushed by Norway this evening.

Having won 4-0 in Belfast on Friday, the hosts were 3-0 winners in Oslo.

Scotland also suffered playo-ff heartbreak, losing 2-0 away to Finland.
