Ten shops on catwalk for Pairc Mhic Eochagain Fashion Show

The team behind the Pairc Mhic Eochagain Park Development presented their debut ‘Fashion Show’, in which 10 local shops were represented on the catwalk, in The Barn, Tyrrellspass last Friday.

In what was a busy time for shops between Black Friday sales and people being home to vote, it was great to see more than 150 people in attendance for the event, said event organiser Sinéad Kiernan.

"Without our local shops, the event simply couldn’t take place and we thank each of them for their support and contribution to the night. We are so lucky to have a range of shops who are willing to take part and/or offer a prize to our raffle, as fashion shows aren’t every company’s cup of tea!"

The event showcased style from a range of stores from kids to adults; Hazy Days, Shaws Department Store, Paco, Pamela Scott, Foys, Wilfs, KCSports, Presents, Vila and Classy and Elegance, Clara.

Colin Clarke and Katie Deegan hosted the show, nad kept the crowd entertained with their witty comments as local personalities who took to the stage.

A highlight on the night was the KC Sports range being modelled with the Examiner Cup as the guest of honour.

The committee were delighted with the turnout and support on the night from people, not only in Castletown Geoghegan, but surrounding towns and villages.

The main message on the night was to ‘Enjoy the fun, festive fashion and shop local this Christmas’.
