TR Dallas re-releases his Christmas song

A couple of years ago, Moate-based entertainer Tom Allen, aka TR Dallas, decided that he wanted to record a Christmas song.

But when he considered the potential options, he realised that they had all been performed over and over again by others.

"So I thought I should have a go at writing a Christmas song myself," he said.

"A song called 'When I Think of Christmas' is what I came up with, and it proved to be very successful. It got good reviews and good airplay."

Now, with Christmas 2024 fast approaching, 'When I Think of Christmas' has been re-released and is likely to be picking up some airplay over the coming weeks.

The song is about Jesus's birth, rather than the more materialistic aspects of Christmas, with Tom singing, "To help all Christians as they pray, Christ was born on Christmas Day."

The local man is currently recovering well after a hip replacement operation, which took place within the last fortnight, and he hopes to be back performing on stage shortly.

He would like to wish all of his family, friends, fans, radio and TV presenters, a very Happy Christmas and a safe and peaceful New Year, adding that he would also like to thank everyone for all of their continued support.
