The annual pool and darts tournament at the Lough Lene Inn has been held for 10 years to raise funds for local causes. In the past they have raised funds for senior citizens, local people and families, and this year’s event was in aid of Collinstown NS.
The tournament, on Friday December 27, had a strong turnout and there was big interest in the darts in particular. The overall winner of the event – pool and darts – was Aaron Kennedy from Collinstown, who beat Darren Reilly in the pool final, and Rhys Eagar in the darts final.
The action was followed by music entertainment from singer Davy Rudden and it as an enjoyable occasion. On the night the organisers thanked everyone who supported the annual event.
