Mullingar Harriers are among the local clubs marking significant anniversaries this year, and that ties in with the theme for the local St Patrick's Day parade.

Mullingar St Patrick’s Day Festival Committee have announced ‘Mullingar’s Sporting Heritage’ as the theme for this year’s St Patrick’s Day Parade.

The theme works well as several local clubs celebrate significant anniversaries in 2025.

Mullingar Rugby Club and Mullingar Badminton Club are celebrating 100 years, Mullingar Harriers are celebrating their 50th anniversary, and Mullingar Handball Club recently celebrated their 70th anniversary.

The parade organisers want to celebrate volunteerism, inclusivity and participation, and everything that goes into the great sporting clubs from all codes in Mullingar and the surrounding areas.

The committee encourage all local sporting clubs to take part in this year’s parade to make it the biggest and best one yet, and help encourage people to join a sporting club in 2025.
