Murder Trial: Girl in the River (BBC 2, Wednesday 29th, 9pm)
This is a gripping documentary series with two haunting new cases under the spotlight. ‘Girl in the River’ follows the murder of Caroline Glachan, a Scottish schoolgirl who never came home. Three suspects stand accused of brutally killing the 14-year-old, more than two decades after her body was found, face down in the River Leven.
The Road Trip (CH5, Thursday 30th, 10pm)
A romantic comedy series adapted from author Beth O’Leary bestseller starring Emma Appleton, Laurie Davidson and David Jonsson, which follows Addie, who is on a road trip to a friend’s wedding in Spain when she’s forced to share the ride with her ex, Dylan. Flitting between the past and the present, it’s about giving love another shot and whether someone can be the right person – but at the wrong time.
Uncanny (BBC 2, Friday 31st, 9pm)
Hosted by writer and broadcaster Danny Robins, series two returns “with more spooky stories and paranormal investigations”. The series will be investigating more real-life stories of seemingly supernatural encounters that appear to defy logical explanation – examined by sceptic Dr Ciarán O’Keeffe and parapsychologist Evelyn Hollow.
Dancing With The Stars (RTÉ 1, Sunday 2nd, 6.30pm)
In episode five of the new series, get ready to cha-cha, tango, and waltz on Dedicated Dance week. Each pairing will have a different dancing genre to master, from the Charleston to Hip Hop, and just seven days to perfect their routines before performing live to the nation. Each celebrity couple will be scored by an expert panel of judges and the viewing public at home.

Brian And Maggie (CH4, Wednesday 29th, 9pm)
Steve Coogan and Harriet Walter’s two-part miniseries depicts the lead-up to a decisive interview between Brian Walden (Coogan) and then-prime minister Margaret Thatcher (Harriet Walter), which was a contributing factor in the latter’s resignation. The pair never spoke again after the 45-minute encounter, which became a national talking point.

Mark Ruffalo and Anne Hathaway star in this criminal drama in which a tenacious attorney uncovers a dark secret that connects a growing number of unexplained deaths to one of the world’s largest corporations. While trying to expose the truth, he soon finds he is risking his future, his family and his own life.
Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga (Sky Cinema Premiere, from Friday)
Anya Taylor-Joy and Chris Hemsworth star in George Miller’s anticipated return to the iconic dystopian world he created more than 30 years ago with the seminal Mad Max films. A standalone action adventure that reveals the origins of the powerhouse character from ‘Mad Max: Fury Road’.
The Last Stop in Yuma County (Sky Cinema Premiere, from Sunday)
While awaiting the next fuel truck at a middle-of-nowhere Arizona rest stop, a travelling young knife salesman is thrust into a high-stakes hostage situation by the arrival of two similarly stranded bank robbers with no qualms about using cruelty to protect their bloodstained fortune.

In 2035, highly intelligent robots fill public service positions throughout the world, operating under rules to keep humans safe. Despite his dark history with robotics, Detective Del Spooner (Will Smith) investigates the alleged suicide of US Robotics founder Alfred Lanning (James Cromwell) and believes that a human-like robot murdered him.

Posso Entrare? An Ode To Naples (Disney+)
From Trudie Styler, actress, producer, director and wife of Sting, comes this journey into the soul of the city of Naples. The narrow working-class streets and the middle-class neighbourhoods are all captured beautifully by cinematographer Dante Spinotti, charting the culture, creativity and chaos of the city, set against the community spirit still prevalent there.
The Night Agent 2 (Netflix)
Based on the novel by Matthew Quirk, The Night Agent is an action-thriller concerning a low level FBI Agent who works in the basement of the White House, manning a phone that never rings – until the fateful night that it does. It quickly became one of Netflix’s most-watched series as FBI agent Peter Sutherland discovered conspirators inside the government, along with rogue assassins and a murder witness named Rose. Is he tough enough to survive another season of assassination attempts and bomb plots? What do you think….

It’s a sure sign that spring is near – the Six Nations rugby championship is here to entertain for the next six weeks. First match in the arena is France v Wales from Paris – can the hosts deliver another 45 to 24 thrashing similar to last year? Expect fireworks all over the pitch.

It’s us against ’the auld enemy’ and no other fixture carries as much emotional baggage. Last year’s results mean nothing now – new year, new set up – and another clash of these mighty adversaries in that historic stadium on Lansdowne Road.
