The Cancer Fund for Children Bog Run returns to Lough Boora this March

The Cancer Fund for Children Bog Run is returning to Lough Boora Discovery Park on Sunday, March 23.

The event is open to ages 8+, making it a great opportunity to take on a fun challenge with friends, family, colleagues, or your local sports club.

Cancer Fund for Children is inviting participants to climb, tackle and wade through 5k of muddy boglands at Lough Boora by while raising vital funds and awareness for children living with a cancer diagnosis.

The charity provides vital services to children and young people (aged 0-24) diagnosed with cancer across the island of Ireland.

Kieran McManus, Project Manager at Lough Boora Discovery Park said: “Lough Boora Discovery Park are thrilled to host the Bog Run in aid of Cancer Fund for Children for a second year.

"Following on from what was an incredible event last year, this year is sure to be bigger and better, providing a chance to experience the Lough Boora landscape from a more exciting perspective while contributing to a very worthy cause.”

Bog Run participants will receive a goodie bag, a 2025 Bog Run medal and a certificate as a thank you for your amazing efforts.

Each participant will be supported in their fundraising efforts by a member of the charity’s fundraising team.

The deadline for registrations is 1pm on March 20.
