Dublin-based comedian Anne Gildea has announced a new tour 'Further Adventures in Womaning'.
It follows her successful show 'How To Get The Menopause & Enjoy It'.
"It’s a laugh-a-second look at the changing world of Irish womanhood since the 70s. It’s about the women our mothers were, the girls we used to be, and the women we have become.
"With her unique and seasoned comedy stylings Anne tells it like it is, like nobody else can. From 18-hour girdles and Housewives of The Year to twerky dancers and insta influencers, from The Sunday Drive to The Spa Break, via the chiffon scarf test, condom trains and much much more, she weaves a startling and hilarious path through a tumultuous half century of womany stuff."
Previously Anne was a founding member of the Irish musical-comedy trio, The Nualas, who toured everywhere from New York to Moate, playing stage, television, "and the wireless".
She started out in London in the late 80s, going on to feature in many Irish TV comedy programmes. Also a published author, Anne’s last book, about her treatment for breast cancer, inspired the Irish feature film, The Bright Side, which had a cinema release in 2021 and streamed on Prime.
