WATCH: Local singer's stunning version of 80s power ballad
A local singer's performance of a much-loved 80s power ballad is earning rave reviews.
Mullingar's Collette Brady-McEntee joined forces with renowned musician/producer Mark Cahill from Ivory Studios for a stunning version of the Air Supply classic, Making Love Out Of Nothing At All.
Mum-of-two Collette is a talented woman, in addition to being an accomplished singer, she also teaches music at St Mary's Secondary School in Edenderry.
Speaking to the Westmeath Examiner, Collette revealed that she is currently writing her own material and will be going into the studio soon.
Aside from spending time with her two biggest fans, her children Darcy and Cónan, Collette says that she is never happier than when she is on stage or helping her students fulfil their potential.
“Singing is my passion. I've been performing around the country for the last 20 years in theatres, concert halls and in a wedding band. I am also the musical director of the school choir in St Mary's.” she told us.
Collette and Mark's rendition of Making Love Out Of Nothing At All was recorded as part of The Ivory Sessions.
