Let's Talk About Tech event in midlands

The midlands tech community is set to come together for a pivotal event, Let’s Talk About Tech, next week.

This free event is aimed at connecting tech businesses, entrepreneurs, and students with key ICT supports. The event will take place on Tuesday March 11, at the Radisson Hotel, Athlone, from 10am to 1pm.

This gathering will provide an opportunity for midlands-based tech professionals, startups, and students to gain insights into available funding, skills development, and supply chain opportunities.

Attendees will hear directly from key representatives across multiple support agencies, including Enterprise Ireland, the Local Enterprise Office (LEO), WestBIC, as well as education and training organisations such as Technological University of the Shannon, the region’s Education and Training Boards, and Skillnet.

MC and keynote speaker for the event will be renowned future of work expert Peter Cosgrove of Futurewise. A well-known author, media commentator and regular conference speaker, Peter is an expert on topics of the future of work, and in particular will look at the impact of technology and AI on future skills and the workplace of the future.

The Let’s Talk About Tech event is organised by the Midlands ICT Network, which is dedicated to fostering innovation and growth in the region's technology sector.

Established as a key action of the Midlands Regional Enterprise Plan, the network is aiming to unite midlands ICT businesses, academic institutions, and government agencies in a collaborative effort to position the region as an internationally recognised centre of excellence in Smart Connected Technologies.
