Do you ever wonder what’s going on behind the black door in Harbour Street? Opening hours 9am-5pm from Monday to Thursday; Fridays close at lunch time. Come in and see if the activities would interest you in any way.
Go for Life exercises. Shake off the winter cobwebs! These are non-strenuous exercise for older persons, Wednesdays 10-11am. These exercises have great health benefits as well as the social aspect to it where friendships are forged and lots of laughs and chat takes place. Come on in and show us what you can do.
Cookery demo classes. Fancy having a chance at being another Gordon Ramsey (off the TV)? Without the flowery language of course? Well that might happen if you decide to join the cookery demo classes on Wednesdays at 11am. Delicious food is cooked, eaten and lots more taken home. Lots of cookery information and questions answered.
Gaeilge; re-awakening the Gaeilge we once knew; conversational Irish group every Wednesday at 1.30pm. This is an informal group, come along and speak to us as Gaeilge. We are learning some new words (without any pressure) and phrases as Gaeilge in a friendly, non-judgemental and enjoyable atmosphere.

SAS Monitored Alarms
They are free to anyone over 65 and the first year of monitoring is also free (there is a fee for sim card service in GSM and digital models). Straightforward application process and installation time is less than 2 weeks. They are great peace of mind for both you and your family and we highly recommend that all older people avail of this service. Scams
Be careful about scam calls, texts and fake house callers. Scams are getting more sophisticated; banks, tax office, HSE, Revenue, gardaí, Amazon will not text you or call you and ask you for passwords or PINs.
Repairs and alterations
Do you have curtains or cushions in need of altering? You might have clothes that need upcycling; hems in need of alterations, waists of skirts or trousers that require change; sleeves in jackets that are too long or broken zips in your favourite dresses, jackets or trousers. Talk to the dressmaker, Ewa on Monday mornings at 10.30pm. A staff member can also help. If you leave instructions, they will relay your message and garment to Ewa.

Next CHIME 28 March. There is a small increase in battery price to €3.
Foot care clinic
Foot-clinic on 14 March. Book to hold your place as there is a limited number. The clinic is every month.
Spring Break
Westport Woods Hotel, Westport, April 6-10, B&B and evening meal with entertainment included and a day trip, €400 per person sharing and €500 single room. All single rooms are booked at present, but we have a cancellation list. Call 04493 84290.
Upcoming day trips; Cavan Museum 19 March; Bloom 29 May and on 18 June, Moyvalley and Lullymore Heritage Park. Malahide Castle and Gardens on 16 July and Knock Shrine among others are being worked on.
