Under-15 football development squad in action against Carlow
The Westmeath U15 footballers took on Carlow last Saturday in Ballynacargy, with two games running concurrently. A total of 45 players saw action for Westmeath across the two games.
This group will travel to the Faithful Fields on Saturday (March 22nd) to take on Offaly in another pair of challenge games.
The U16 footballers had a good workout against Monaghan on Saturday in Shandonagh, overcoming the Farney County by 5-14 to 0-20. Well done to the players and managements of both teams and thanks to Ballynacargy and Shandonagh for hosting the games.
Coach Education
An Award 1 Dual course started last Wednesday night and will run over five nights. Further courses will take place in April, as follows: IGGC (football), 8th and 10th April, St Joseph's SS, Rochfortbridge; IGGC (hurling), 15th and 17th April, St Joseph's SS, Rochfortbridge.

Go Games
The U8 and U10 footballers of the county are back into Go Games action this Saturday (March 22nd), with blitzes set to take place across numerous venues. Saturday week (March 29th ) will see the resumption of hurling Go Games.
U14 football and hurling trials
U14 football trials finished at the weekend with over 140 eager players attending. The U14 hurlers will start their trials on Wednesday, March 19th, and these will run over three days.
Hurling Development Squads
Westmeath U16 hurlers are busy preparing for the Celtic Challenge and continued their preparations at the weekend with a challenge game against the Mayo minor team. In a high scoring affair in St Loman's, Westmeath won out by 6-16 to 2-18. Well done to the players and management.
