Singers preview tribute to cinema concert

Mullingar Choral Society season launch

In a departure from their usual concerts, Mullingar Choral Society will this spring perform a choral tribute to cinema comprising 24 pieces of well-known music especially orchestrated with a 21 piece orchestra specially assembled for the event.

This is a concert for everyone with pieces from such movies such as The Godfather, Saving Private Ryan, The Good the Bad and the Ugly, Amadeus, The Mission, Sister Act, Pirates of the Caribbean, The Life of Brian and others.

Taking the title, ‘Epic Harmonies, A Choral Tribute To Cinema’, the evening will include, alongside Mullingar Choral Society as special guests the St Kenny National School Choir and The Epic Harmonies Orchestra

Musical director and conductor John White will lead proceedings at Mullingar Arts Centre on Saturday May 24 next (8pm).

Tickets are available from the arts centre box office at mullingarartscentre.ie; they are likely to sell fast due to the popularity of the programme on offer.
