It's a huge week for Mullingar Athletic, starting tonight at Gainstown (7pm), when they play Willow Park in what's expected to be a pulsating CCFL Senior Division decider.After winning the Paddy Cotter Cup last week, Athletic's seniors not only hope to improve their chances of wrestling the league from Willow Park, but they also hope to defend their Counties Cup crown against the Athlone side on Sunday.Meanwhile, their U18s are in the Counties Youths Cup final against Tullamore (Saturday).Adding these to the recent Women's Division success, and achievements at underage level, would make 2012 an unforgettable year for the Mullingar club.For a full review of how this crucial week went for Athletic, read next week's edition of the Westmeath Examiner (on shelves on Wednesday May 23).
