Allanah wins at Scottish Open Karate Tournament in Glasgow

Allanah Arthur did her club proud when she travelled to the Scottish Open Karate Tournament in Glasgow last week, and she brought home a category win.

Allanah, a member of the Mullingar Kyokushinkai Karate Club, took first place in the Women’s Open H/W category.

Knockdown Karate is a form of full-contact fighting whereby opponents try to knock each other down or out. Allanah prepared diligently over the last few months and got her just reward on the day.

Her hard work was also rewarded when she became the first female to attain Black Belt at the club, just before the turn of the year.
