Westmeath County Council – COVID-19: services to the public

Statement from Westmeath County Council

Westmeath County Council continues to deliver vital public services in the challenging circumstances arising from the Covid-19 pandemic.

We are advised by relevant government and public agencies on an ongoing basis in doing so.

We need the help of members of the public in keeping them and staff safe. If you need to contact us, please consider carefully if the service you require can be dealt with by phone, email or post BEFORE calling into our public offices.

Our contacts are:

Email: secretar@westmeathcoco.ie

Post: Westmeath County Council, Áras an Chontae, Mount Street, Mullingar, Co. Westmeath. N91 FH4N.

Telephone: (044) 9332000

We also attach a brief guide to our services for use at this time.

With effect from Friday 20 March 2020 our public office opening hours will be 9.30am-4pm.

In conjunction with these changed opening hours we will be implementing changes to how our face-to-face services will be conducted.

This will include measures to ensure that members of the public are directed to the service they require and that good public health practice, including managing social distancing requirements and appropriate cleaning of surfaces and equipment, are implemented.

Westmeath County Council’s response will continue to be informed by advice from the HSE and Public Health Authorities and is subject to ongoing review.
