Matt O'Donohue Fashion Show this Thursday

This year the ticket price from the Matt O’Donohue Fashion Show is going to the TEAM fund.

One of the best nights of the social calendar in Mullingar, the fashion show takes place this Thursday at The Greville Arms Hotel, and there is a €1,500 designer outfit to be won on the night.

The need for the services TEAM – Temporary Emergency Accommodation Mullingar – provides has never been greater, and it has been called on twice in the last two weeks.

Originally an idea put forward by a member of Mullingar Lions Club, TEAM now works with local government services and other charity associations to plug a gap as a last resort, and facilitates extreme short notice needs of people in very difficult situations.

The need could be for a man, woman or family and Mullingar Lions is calling on the locality to help them support the service.

“Some day this could be one of your family or friends,” said a spokesman for the club. “It was felt that this emergency need was not being addressed locally. At this point in time TEAM is 100% funded by the Mullingar Lion’s Club.” Tickets (€20) for the Matt O’Donohue Fashion Show are available from the Greville Arms (044 9348563) and Lions Club members.

The evening starts with a drinks reception at 8pm on Thursday October 17 and show begins at 8.30pm. All support is greatly appreciated and donations are welcome.
